Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians
In questa associazione, creata a Chicago nel 1965 per iniziativa di Muhal Richard Abrams (che sin dal 1961 dirigeva la Experimental Band), con il contrabbassista Malachi Favors, il pianista Jodie Christian, il trombettista Phil Cohran e il batterista Steve McCall, ha militato una grande quantità di musicisti afroamericani. ​It is an association created in Chicago in 1965 on the initiative of Muhal Richard Abrams (who since 1961 directed the Experimental Band), with the double bass player Malachi Favors, the pianist Jodie Christian, the trumpeter Phil Cohran and the drummer Steve McCall.
